Happy new year from SOA.

Greetings from Sierra Overhead Analytics! As you may be able to tell, our website has just undergone a substantial renovation. Click around and see what’s new, and contact us if you have any questions.

We’ve streamlined our service offerings to better communicate the value-add fundamentals of our team’s approach to analysis and design tasks. For more information on these service umbrellas, see the Advanced Site Analysis, Civil / Environmental Engineering, and Solar Design Expertise pages.

In other news, we’re very happy to welcome Jason Rolfe to the team as our new Senior sUAS Scientist!

Jason comes to us from the Nevada Department of Transportation, where he was the Chief sUAS Pilot and Photogrammetrist for their manned and unmanned aerial programs. While with NDOT, Jason performed hundreds of unmanned missions to help support the engineering and design divisions throughout Nevada, and worked with other State agencies to bolster their sUAS programs.

Last December, Commercial UAV News interviewed Jason regarding his insights on how DOTs will be utilizing drones in the Transportation and Infrastructure Industry in the coming year. Access the interview here:

We’re very happy to have Jason onboard, and excited for this new decade!

More than 5 years on from our founding, we continue to push the envelope of what’s possible in mapping and design efficiency - and we look forward to working with our valued clients (and new teams) who wish to expand the boundaries of possibility in their own areas of practice.

Please reach out if you’re interested in seeing what value & efficiency that SOA’s mapping and analysis professionals can add for your projects.
